Adam Pycroft of Random I.D.
Hi, I’m Adam and my company is called Random I.D. We create wall art combining various different mediums including comics, minifigures and silhouette paper cuts. All our products are one of a kind and handmade.
Random I.D offers unique box framed art and was always something I did as a hobby making gifts for friends and family but in the last two years it has grown requiring greater commitment.
What inspired you into your line of business?
The lack of handmade geek themed home decor in shops and watching my grandad make furniture inspired me to start Random I.D.
How do you find the Things British retail concept? How has it helped your brand?
The Things British retail concept is the perfect way for any designer to gain exposure and experience. Things British have been a huge part in Random I.D’s development and expansion.
British made is essentially a product that is unique and handmade.
What advise would you give to anyone who is keen to step into retail?
Believe in your products, a lot of business is trial and error so take that leap and give it a try.
What are the next big plans for your brand?
I’d like to increase the range available within the Things British stores.
